The Pilates exercises are performed with concentration, fluidity and full body control. Particular emphasis is placed on developing core stability (or trunk stability) so that the coordinated use of the spine and the limbs can produce smooth precise movements. A repertoire of many different exercises are performed at low repetitions so one can concentrate on movement quality. This results in developing strong, elongated, and toned muscles that are not bulky. Pilates trains both the mind and body and for this reason, it is important to maintain a commitment to consistent, attentive practice to receive the full advantage of its benefits. dfp Pilates for Girls or Boys - Call for days and times for both studios. The kettlebell is an endurance training tool that recently made its way into the United States from Russia, where it’s used by Russian Special Forces and weightlifters, dancers and Olympic athletes. Here is a short list of hardware the Russian kettlebell replaces: barbells, dumbbells, belts for weighted pullups and dips, thick bars, lever bars, medicine balls, grip devices, and cardio equipment. KB has the same principles as Pilates; every movement comes directly from the core. Here is the cardio workout you have been looking for!
